This ring consists of an extremely rare and vibrant type of wood called Purpleheart, also known as Peltogyne, amendoim or amaranth. This design brings together the most scratch resistant material and one of the rarest woods on earth. Purpleheart wood is prized for fine inlay work in jewelry and is also used in woordturning, flooring and furniture.
